from DigitalKings.com due to their low price even though I saw all the negative reviews on epinions.com.
- 07/01/2004 The order confirmation number
and the
order confirmation page.
- 07/01/2004 We know Sharp has a mail-in rebate in effect.
- 07/02/2004 We get a call back request by e-mail.
- 07/06/2004
- We call back to be asked to buy extended warranties. We say no.
- They say they want to confirm charging our credit card for $271 more
than what our order confirmation page stated.
They said it was for "shipping insurance".
- I said the
order confirmation page
included ground delivery charge and
has the grand total to be charged to our credit card.
- They said it was clearly written that insurance would be extra.
I don't see it on our order confirmation page.
- I said I would complain to everyone I could think of.
- They say they have a very good relationship with the Better Business Bureau.
- I don't see the BBB logo on their website.
- They said they would ship in three to four weeks.
- One hour later the order confirmation page changed from
Pending
to Cancelled.

What follows are my own opinions regarding their high ratings on sites like epinions.com.
I do not need proof to back up my opinions.
They probably have a person whose job it is to create free anonymous e-mail accounts
for the express purpose of "ballot stuffing".
It would also cost them nothing to order from
themselves for the express purpose of putting in a 5/5 vote. They can cancel the order
in their own accounting system without actually moving any real money or merchandise.
Additional/replacement web store fronts are also cheap.
