Casio MTG1000G-9A

I purchased a Casio MTG1000G-9A to replace a Seiko SKX009 which added a minute each day.

When you push the watch band pin out to adjust the size, be very careful not to lose the little tube which secures the pin. Once the pin clears the little tube and the parts separate, the tube easily falls out of the watch band and can roll away with speed and stealth. I used a paper clip to push the pin out.

2009/09/13 The watch may have a problem with static electricity. Something makes the watch go berserk. Time and date are lost. During which time, even manual receive will fail to work (pressing A for 2 seconds). The only way to get the watch back is to let it sit for 3 minutes without touching anything, adjusting the home positions, set time and date manually (just the Home City and DST settings are required), then manual receive. I have started now a log each time this happens to see how often this occurs.
