Installation tips you may find helpful:
- Use an allen wrench to loosen the set screw at the back of the
spout before installing. Pull the brass part down from the spout.
Turn the silver plate to align the hole or hide it as needed for
your sink. Push the brass part back to sandwich the silver plate
and re-tighten the set screw. You may need to turn the silver
plate until it locks firmly against the spout. If you skip this
step, your spout may wiggle after installation.
- Plug/cover the drain with a rag before removing the aerator.
This will prevent the rubber washer from dropping down the drain.
Typically, the rubber washer sticks up inside the spout so all you
see is the plastic screen on the aerator. Make sure you recover the
rubber washer before flushing the spout and water lines with water.
- To prevent water from splashing without the aerator in place,
cover the spout with a towel/rag so it drapes down over the drain.
